Prof. Dr. Andreas Gross – Fraunhofer IFAMDr Andreas Groß studied chemistry and education at the University of Bielefeld from 1979 to 1985. In 1987 he completed a dissertation with the topic: “Model reactions on curing mechanisms of epoxy adhesives”, supervisor was Prof. Dr. Hans Brockmann. Since 1987 he has been a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute IFAM and head of the department “Technology Promotion and Personnel Qualification”. Since 2000 he has also been a professor at Bremen University of Applied Sciences in the field of adhesive bonding technology. He heads the DVS working group “Adhesive bonding technology”, is chairman of the DIN and CEN working groups for the topic “Adhesive bonding in rail vehicle construction” and project leader for the revision of ISO 21368, also on the topic “Quality assurance in adhesive bonding technology”.
